Still undefeated and yet with two draws in a row, the U17 boys of DFI went to the away game in Stätzling. It became clear after just a few minutes that it was not going to be the Aiblingers’ day. They struggled especially at the beginning with the surface and had problems playing forward.
The otherwise energetic Kurstädter clearly lacked their normally strong duel behavior. This made the opponent from Stätzling stronger and did not get an effective grip on the game in any second. The home team knew how to use this advantage not only cleverly but also in many moves for themselves and took the lead after only a few minutes. Even if it was a bit lucky in the making, it was a significant goal in the early stages of the game. The DFI guys were too imprecise and without allocation against the ball while the Stätzlinger presented themselves very energetic and strong-willed. With the first real chance for the DFI after a corner, it was shortly before substitute Desiree Kokou, pushed the ball over the line after a header extension. The first time the DFI guys got into the game a little better. For that game day from the point of view of the Aiblinger significant only a few minutes later and at the same time only seconds before the break whistle however the next damper. After an unfortunate foul in their own penalty area, it was again the Stäzlinger who could take the lead through a safely converted penalty. The late goal of the first half visibly affected the rest of the game. A mirror image of the first half: The Aiblinger with short Aufaufbäumen but altogether simply too harmless and much too little mentality on the Platz left. The Stätzlinger is now clearly more defensive, but still with strong duel leadership and unconditional will to bring in the first victory of the season. This is how the second half of the game developed, in which the DFI boys did not create any noteworthy chances and the Stätzlingers could not take advantage of theirs. So in the end is absolutely deserved the first defeat for the U17 boys of DFI. Above all, everyone should take something from this defeat for the next few weeks in order to be able to turn the current trend of three winless games back into a positive as quickly as possible. Therefore, the focus is directly on the next home game against Landshut.
