Last Saturday it went for the DFI guys for the second time in a row at homecStadion to another top duel in the Landesliga Bayern Süd. The third-placed Kurstädter before the match day met the fourth-placed ASV Cham. The guests came to Bad Aibling with two wins in a row. The home team started the match very well. They took the lead after just four minutes played after a beautiful cross by Leart Lela, who returned from a long injury, a perfect start for the DFI boys. Only a quarter of an hour later it was again a beautiful offensive combination, which could be completed by Sascha Korniienko with his left foot to 2:0. At this point, at the latest, the game shares were very clearly distributed. The guests did not really get back into the game after that setback and the DFI guys kept tearing the game to themselves. The Bad Aiblingers were now able to bring a calm game structure and many interesting combinations through the midfield onto the pitch. Then, just before the break, the connecting goal came out of nowhere. The guests were awarded a free kick in the half field, which from a long distance flew unhappily into the far corner. This was a key moment for the rest of the game and a bitter setback for the dominating Aibling team.
In the second half, the guests came out of the dressing room better with their late goal and got off to a good start. High pressing and a lot of running now characterized the guests, who were provided with new energy. The game gradually slipped out of the DFI guys’ hands a bit. The mistakes increased and the playfulness diminished. According to the course of the game in the second half, it was now only a matter of time before the guests could reward themselves offensively once again, which they did just a few minutes before the final whistle with a header. In a wild injury time it was once again Christian Lapsin, the keeper of Bad Aiblinger, who could prevent another goal with strong saves. So in the end, it’s another division of points, which from Bad Aibling’s point of view feels more like losing a point than gaining one. They played an almost perfect first half and only failed to force the decision early on with another goal. The guests fought their way back into the match in the second half with a good mentality. Both teams thus remain at their previous positions within the table. It is now the second draw in a row for the DFI boys. Even though they could have/must have won both games, DFI’s U17s remain one of two remaining undefeated teams in the league. The focus is therefore still forward and concentrated on the upcoming away game against FC Stätzling.
